Volume 2

I like a $12 sandwich if it’s bloody good. I have enjoyed and pored over each element of two beyond-the-beyond sandwiches in my life. One was from a place on Court St. in Brooklyn, and I loved it so much I have even recreated it for myself: Sweet potato, red onion, sauerkraut, melted cheese, greens and dressing on sourdough bread. The second was from Tivoli NY, today.

It was raining. I was imagining another tub of cold hummus and Mary’s Gone Crackers *tm from across the street, or another egg-white power bar from the gas station store, and I just couldn’t do it, dudes. So I burned fossil fuel to get to Tivoli General to get a sandwich and a latté, and I am reporting back that I would do it again!

Up until recently, as the pattern goes up where I live, Tivoli General was among the outfits that are closed on Tuesday. What’s wrong with Tuesdays (and Wednesdays), I really want to know? I have joked, because honestly, nothing would make me get back into the food & beverage industry ever again, that I am going to invest in a food truck up in this piece and call it “Tuesday’s.” It would make $1,000,000.00. If you run with the idea, just, you’re welcome. Anyways, when I searched to see their neat-o updated website, I noticed this very SMART move they alerted browsers to… check this out, my people:
